Metal Cold Casting | TC-808 Jet Black & Metal Powder

Home  |  Video learning  |  Silicones

Oversized Coin molded with TC-5024 Tin Silicone and cast with TC-808 Jet Black into a Metal Powder Pigment dusted mold.

*Fun Fact! This coin was a prop made for the 1991 movie Hook, you can see it displayed in the background of Tinkerbell’s house. BJB helped the customer in the making of this prop thanks to our Metal Spray Technology that we introduced for industrial manufacturing applications several decades ago. We adapted this technology for the Special Effects Industry as seen with “The Rocketeer” movie Jet Pack and Halloween mask production in some of Don Post’s Metal Molds.

TC-808 Jet Black is a low viscosity, rapid setting, rigid urethane compound that is pre-pigmented black. This system will cure quickly to a hard, tough casting, perfect for quick production parts.
